Our children’s book specialist pointed this charmer out to me this morning and I haven’t been able to leave it alone. Pomelo’s Opposites by Ramona Badescu and Benjamin Chaud ( Enchanted Lion Books) is clever and gently witty.

Featuring the endearing ele-fantastic Pomelo, It does the usual things: up/down, happy/sad, slow/fast but also some unusual things: dream/reality, possible/impossible, evident/unimaginable  something/whatever. While this is a great book for the under-fives, to be honest, it is actually just a great book. You simply cannot read it without smiling which is the sort of book we all need a little of.  I am once again thinking of several adults who would love it’s entertaining and rather lovely take on life’s big and small opposites.
