…having it all.

When I was a child, a sandwich with all the trimmings, piled with whatever you chose to pile it with (the choosing being as important as the piling), was known as a Hungry Sandwich.
Sammy and the Skyscraper Sandwich by Lorraine Francis and Pieter Gaudesaboos celebrates the concept in colourful and clever style, as Sammy builds a sandwich (with bread and boiled eggs, cheese and crunchy peanut butter, grated carrot, sprinkles, raisins and chocolate spread…) to satisfy his hunger.
The retro folkloric illustrations are charming and the ending is clever.
Just makes you a little hungry…
