This book has been exciting both the paper-design aficionados and the petrol-heads on staff (not that the two traits are mutually exclusive!). It is kind of fabulous – and I don’t even drive, couldn’t be less interested in cars!
Cars : A Complete History in 50 Easy-to-Make Models by Simon Hepinstall is a spectacular drive-through history of cars, decade by decade. This collector’s guide details each iconic car’s place in automobile history and also contains press-out pieces to make 50 ultra-stylish 3-D models.from Ford’s 1908 Model T to Rolls-Royce’s 2013 Wraith. The models are pretty cool, and are printed on the bottom two thirds of each page – as you rip the pages out and pop out the pieces you are left with a small book of pictures and info about each car and 50 models to line up in your china cabinet or your car-history-appreciation shelf.
